Dear Ms. Lassiter

I began to write you a thank you note and as I was writing I realized that there was no way I could fit everything I want to say to you on that small piece of paper. As a result I am sending you this email, I hope you don't mind. Firstly, I must thank you on behalf of my whole Brookwood GSLT team. I speak for all of us when I say that your etiquette insight helps us in ways that we didn't even realize they could. On a more personal note, I want to thank you for what you have done for me. I'm not sure whether you remembered me at the retreat, but my name is Brian Bloch. You came to Brookwood last spring for an etiquette seminar during our Brookwood Leadership Team meeting. Over the course of the two hours I believe you told me five times that you would be personally disappointed if I didn't pick up a GSLT application on my way out. I wanted to let you know that on that day, you sparked my GSLT initiative to not be content with where I stood. A few essays and an interview later and here I am! Lastly, I want to thank you for what you did for me at the retreat on August 1-2. The first real friendship I have made so far during GSLT began when I asked a a young lady to dance with me Friday night at the beginning of our dance session.

Thanks again on behalf of myself as well as the rest of my Brookwood Team,

Brian Bloch, Brookwood, GSLT class of 2010

Dear Ms. Lassiter

I just wanted to tell you again that I really enjoyed the etiquette dinner tonight. I feel like I learned a lot, and that when I need to go on a professional meal, I will definitely utilize your advice. I loved the stories and examples you gave, and I was also very impressed at your ability to remember everyone's name. I'm debating whether or not to run for VP of Professional Activities next semester, so if I get the position, I will definitely plan another dinner with you for our fraternity. Again, I learned a lot tonight and I had a great time.

Kim Smith, VP of Internal Relations, Delta Sigma Pi

Dear Debra,

Georgia State University Athletics wanted to thank you again for everything that you have done for us in making our etiquette dinner a great success. All of our student-athletes in attendance had a great time; they mentioned that they all learned a lot of new things that are going to be very beneficial to them in the very near future.
You truly do lead by example in demonstrating the lessons that you teach. Your professionalism and general good nature enabled those participating in our etiquette dinner to warm up to you very quickly, so you immeadiately captured the attention of everyone in attendance. It was clear that you have a very strong knowledge of the subject matter in which you teach, and hold the principles of it very true to yourself.

Dear Ms. Lassiter,

Saturday night, my daughter beamed throughout the Spring Formal. Afterwards she said, "This was the best night of my life! I'll have fun at all the other dances, but my first dance will always be special." Thank you for providing such a "perfect" Perfectly Polished memory!

Laura

Dear Ms. Lassiter,

Dear Ms. Lassiter

Thank you so much for teaching me all the social skills I have put to use in the past 5 years since i left Athens for college. Not only did the dancing skills take me far in school, but the etiquette you instilled in me has served me well in the "real world."

Dear Ms. Lassiter

Hi, Debra.

Don't tell me etiquette doesn't pay! A few weeks ago, I contacted you for some advice on behalf of one of our GSLT students who was concerned about the proper greeting and introduction to NINE interviewers. The student wasn't sure whether she should approach all nine...walk down the line, shake hands with each interviewer, and introduce herself...or whether she should just introduce herself to the group at one time.

Well, Linda C. of Mill Creek took our advice. She entered the room, walked up to the first interviewer, and introduced herself. She then proceeded to follow the same proper greeting and handshake with the remaining eight interviewers. Today, she learned she was the recipient of a $10,000 Nordstrom scholarship. The company surprised her at school today.

On behalf of the GSLT Board, thank you for "polishing" our students and giving them the skills they need to be successful!

Dear Ms. Lassiter

Hey Ms. W!

Remember the advice I asked you about on handshaking for my interview? Well, I found out Monday that I won the Nordstrom scholarship the interview was for! The scholarship is for $10,000, and they came to my school and surprised me with cameras and cookies. Apparently, my mother knew I won for the past two weeks and wanted to surprise me, but my father didn't. My father began crying when I entered the room and I swear my heart nearly broke at the sight. I just wanted to thank you for your advice and support! I know shaking their hands and introducing myself impressed them and conveyed how serious I am about the scholarship!

Thanks so much!
