Course Descriptions

This class is designed for young people who have completed Social I, Social II, and Dance Club. These young people are eighth graders.

The social education includes:

• Extending and receiving invitations
• Host/Hostess and guest duties
• The ABC's of Dining
• Napkins
• Silverware, china and crystal
• Being served and serving yourself
• Difficult to eat foods
• The dos and don'ts of dining
• Tipping
• Grooming
• Posture
• Movies and concerts
• Thank-you notes

The dance education includes:

• Caribbean Hustle
• Vienna Waltz
• Additional line dances
• Continued review of the Fox Trot
• Continued review of the Waltz
• Continued review of the Shag

Cotillion Club members and their parents will be invited to a Tea Dance. This afternoon event covers manners associated with a reception, a stand-up dessert buffet and dancing.
