How did Perfectly Polished impact your leadership and life skills?
Perfectly Polished reinforced the ability to stand up, speak to someone while looking them in the eye and converse informally. These skills I use each and every day. Miss Lassiter often speaks of “The ‘R’ Word.” The R word – respect – I was taught growing up by many different adults, teachers and groups. But Perfectly Polished, from Miss Lassiter to the newest Social I student imbues respect greater than any I have ever known. I continue to learn from all of them.
What was the most valuable asset/skill you learned?
Social dancing and the ability to dance with a variety of people assists me everywhere I go. Whether dancing with a friend from college or shagging with a potential donor for my employer, I am always on my feet dancing with those around me.
